/ Who we are
Archetype Undersea helps nations build, employ, and sustain their own maritime and subsea capabilities.

We develop programs for military, coast guard, law enforcement, and other government organizations. Our support spans the full capability lifecycle: defining and refining mission requirements, program design, personnel development, equipment selection and integration, operational procedures, readiness validation, and sustainment.
‍
Whether establishing a new unit or advancing an existing force, we tailor each engagement to the nation’s priorities, operating environment, and resources. The objective is a nationally owned, sustainable capability—with the operators, instructors, leadership, procedures, and support systems required to plan, execute, and sustain missions independently.

Our Capability Domains

/ Offensive

Combat Swimmer & Maritime Special Operations

Design, establish, and advance combat swimmer and maritime special operations programs—from initial requirements through operational readiness and independent mission execution.

  • Combat swimmer program design, training pipelines, and qualification standards.
  • Foundational and advanced military diving, underwater navigation, subsea mobility, and mission preparation.
  • Integration of diving systems, propulsion, communications, and mission equipment.
  • Team development, operational procedures, exercises, and readiness evaluation.
  • National instructor development and enduring training capacity.
/ Defensive

Maritime Security & Subsea Protection

Develop the personnel, programs, and systems required to protect national maritime interests, assess infrastructure vulnerabilities, respond to underwater incidents, and maintain readiness.

  • Law enforcement diving, underwater investigation, forensics, and evidence recovery.
  • Underwater search, recovery, and light salvage.
  • Subsea explosive ordnance disposal program development and integration.
  • Port, harbor, vessel, and offshore facility protection.
  • Critical subsea infrastructure protection, including cables, pipelines, and offshore energy assets.
  • Critical infrastructure vulnerability assessments and authorized testing of protective measures.
  • Incident response planning, interagency coordination, and readiness exercises.

Understand Exposure. Test Protection. Strengthen Resilience.

Archetype Undersea trains elite U.S. military forces for demanding offensive subsea missions. That experience informs our understanding of the threats facing maritime and subsea infrastructure—and helps partner nations evaluate how effectively their assets are protected.

Through assessments, authorized vulnerability testing, and realistic exercises, we help partners identify weaknesses, evaluate protective measures and response capabilities, and prioritize improvements.

Our support connects assessment findings to practical action: strengthening security procedures, developing response forces, integrating equipment, and validating improvements through follow-on testing.
/ Our model

From Program Inception to Independent Execution

Across offensive and defensive capabilities, Archetype brings together program design, training, equipment, and operational development within a coordinated capability roadmap.

01
Assess
Define priority missions, evaluate existing capacity, and identify capability gaps and vulnerabilities.
02
Design
Establish organizational structures, operating concepts, training pathways, qualification standards, safety systems, and equipment requirements.
03
Develop & Equip
Train operators and instructors, integrate mission equipment, and establish the procedures, logistics, and support systems required for operational employment.
04
Validate & Support Employment
Evaluate individual and team readiness through realistic exercises, test relevant protective measures, and support the transition to independent operational execution.
05
Sustain & Advance
Build enduring national capacity through instructor development, recurrent training, equipment sustainment, and continued capability improvement.

Equip the Force for the Mission

We help partners define, select, source, and integrate the equipment required to support their operational objectives.

Our support encompasses diving systems, subsea propulsion, navigation, communications, protective equipment, and mission-specific tools. Equipment selection and integration account for training, maintenance, logistics, and long-term sustainment.

National Ownership. Enduring Readiness.

Our measure of success is the capability a partner nation can independently employ and sustain.

We develop operators alongside national instructors, leaders, procedures, and support systems—giving the partner force the foundation to maintain readiness, develop future personnel, and adapt to evolving requirements.
